Showers
Everyone has their own bath needs. This customer decided a tub wasn't what they needed any more. We started with removing the tub and tile surround. Then we changed out the shower valve and raised the shower head height to 7' to accomidate taller people.
We moved the drain to center in the floor of the new shower area, and built a 1/2 wall and seat to create a comfortable shower stall. A traditional fiberglass showerpan was installed to assure years of leak free use and a 3 mil plastic was run prior to installing new 1/2" hardibacker to lay the tile on.
A mud set floor and tile wall including a built-in soap and shampoo niche created a entirely new feel for the bathroom. We trimmed the shower with an oil rubbed bronze handle set and had a custom 3/8" wet glazed shower glass and door unit to finish the project off.
